Job Summary:

The candidate is responsible for supporting the Credit Officer / Verification Officer in home loan Pre-Assessment (document sufficiency checks), Rework Triaging, and processing Simple Rework applications.

Key Responsibilities


Pre-Assessment:

  • Review new-money loan applications to ensure all mandatory documents and bank disclosures are provided, valid, signed and within acceptable date limits.
  • Perform identify verification by comparing system information with the supplied identification documents.
  • Highlight any discrepancies to brokers using system comments section, following the standard message template and predefined conditions list.


Rework Triaging:

  • Assess rework items using the defined matrix to determine whether they are complex or simple.
  • Route complex cases to the Verification Officer and process all simple rework items.
  • If unsure whether a case is simple or complex, route it to the Verification Officer for review.


Simple Rework:

  • Review pending conditions against the information or documents supplied by brokers.
  • Based on the review outcome, either fully approve the application or issue a pending notice.
  • Change the application status to NPW if broker notes or emails indicate the customer is not willing to proceed further with the application.


Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 - 4 years of experience in mortgage/home buying process
  • Detail Oriented - exercise extreme attention to details; thorough, accurate, organized, and productive and seeks to understand both cause and effect of a situation.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent Communication and stakeholder management skills, support by collaboration mindset and possess a service-based mindset with strong customer focus.
  • Highly motivated, result driven, team and customer focused
  • Good Judgement - The exercise of Critical thinking, analysing and assessing and taking ownership of outcome.
