Job Description Mechanical Engineer Position Title: Engineer I/Engineer II - Mechanical (TTIC) Reports To : Engineering Manager Location : Noida Position Summary We are seeking a experienced and innovative Engineer to join our Innovation team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience in mechanical engineering and a proven track record of leading projects, IP creation, project management and innovating new-to-world technologies. This role requires an understanding of mechanical design principles, fluid mechanics along with the ability to drive innovation and excellence in new technology development. As a key contributor in our innovation department, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams in a competitive work environment. Pentair provides excellent opportunity to get insights into overall product development right from scratch doing Hand calculations & CAD to prototyping & testing. The person selected for this position will be responsible for design, research, prototyping, engineering documentation and process improvements. Duties And Responsibilities The selected engineer will: <ul><li>Lead the conceptualization, design, and development of new-to-world technologies and mechanical systems.</li><li>Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (Electronics, Firmware, chemical, IOT etc.) to ensure seamless integration of innovative solutions within the time frame.</li><li>Perform detailed mechanical analysis and simulations using state-of-the-art engineering tools to evaluate the feasibility and performance of new designs.</li><li>Develop and execute testing protocols to validate new designs and ensure they meet functional, safety, and regulatory standards.</li><li>Explore and apply cutting-edge materials, manufacturing processes, and technologies to improve design efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and sustainability.</li><li>Continuously monitor industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitor activities to inform and inspire innovation.</li><li>Prepare and present technical reports, presentations, and documentation to communicate design concepts, findings, and recommendations to stakeholders and leadership.</li><li>Ensure adherence to company policies, quality standards, and safety regulations throughout the design and development process.</li><li>Provide technical leadership within the team.</li><li>Creation of intellectual property (IP), including patents and proprietary technologies.</li><li>Collaborate with external partners and vendors for development of products and technologies to be used in Pentair </li></ul>Skills And Experience Requirements <ul><li>Master’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related field.</li><li>Experience of min 6 years with proven experience in system design and development.</li><li>Strong knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T), manufacturing processes, and laboratory testing.</li><li>Proficient in CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Inventor) and familiar with interpretation of simulations.</li><li>Strong analytical and project management skills</li><li>Ability to read and interpret technical drawings</li><li>Ability to influence Standardized approach or challenge status quo</li><li>Strong communication, presentation and collaboration skills</li><li>Expertise in MS Excel will have an added advantage (Data Analysis)</li><li>Quickly learn and grasp technologies related to water treatment </li></ul>Travel This position will require <10% domestic and/or international travel.
