Our expertise extends to multimodal transport solutions, customs clearance, port security, and environmental sustainability, positioning us as a key player in global trade and logistics.<br><br><strong>Job Purpose:</strong> Officer - Fire is responsible for responding to fire emergencies, ensuring fire safety preparedness, and overseeing the maintenance and functioning of fire services equipment. The role involves leading fire inspections, managing fire crew, ensuring compliance with safety protocols, and conducting training to maintain a fire-safe environment at the port.<br><br><strong>Responsibilities<br><br></strong><strong>Emergency Response Preparedeness:<br><br></strong>Attend all fire emergency calls and guide fire crew in standby duties, inspections, monitoring, and emergency calls.<br><br><strong>Fire Preparedness Inspections<br><br></strong>Conduct daily site rounds to inspect fire safety and emergency preparedness across all work locations.<br><br><strong>Work Permit Verification<br><br></strong>Verify work permits for fire safety compliance in operational areas.<br><br><strong>Documentation & Reporting<br><br></strong>Prepare daily activity reports, first information reports (FIR) for fire incidents, and document findings and actions.<br><br><strong>SOP Compliance & Audits<br><br></strong>Ensure implementation of fire services standard operating procedures (SOPs), and conduct regular audits and inspections of work areas and buildings.<br><br><strong>Training & Safety Awareness<br><br></strong>Provide fire safety training to fire staff, contractors, and company employees.<br><br><strong>Equipment Testing & Maintenance<br><br></strong>Conduct hydrotests and refill SCBA cylinders and fire extinguishers. Ensure the proper functioning of fire water pumps and perform weekly pump tests. Oversee the maintenance schedule for fire services equipment, including fire pumps and extinguishers.<br><br><strong>Digital Mindset<br><br></strong>Keep up with digital and AI advancements to enhance business and maintain competitiveness.<br><br><strong>Team Development<br><br></strong>Promote a respectful and safe workplace, lead collaborative and productive teams, and mentor for growth and success.<br><br><strong>Key Stakeholders - Internal<br><br></strong>Fire and Safety Teams, Facility Management Teams, Operations and Maintenance Teams<br><br><strong>Key Stakeholders - External<br><br></strong>Fire Equipment Vendors, Local Fire Departments, Emergency Service Providers<br><br><strong>Qualifications<br><br></strong><strong>Educational Qualification:<br><br></strong>Graduation/Sub Fire Officer Course, Diploma in industrial Safety<br><br>Sub Fire Officer Course<br><br>(Grade I or AI Fire is preferable but not mandatory)<br><br><strong>Work Experience<br><br></strong>Minimum 8 - 10 years of experience in Fire Service in Manufacturing industry / port industry.
