<p>We’re Hiring: <strong>Power Electronics Engineer</strong></p><p>Gurgaon | Full-Time | Core Team</p><p>LAT Aerospace | STOL Aircraft</p><p><br></p><p>At LAT Aerospace, we’re building a clean-sheet Short Take-off and Landing (STOL) aircraft to transform regional air mobility in India. We’re looking for a <strong>Power Electronics Engineer</strong> to design and implement lightweight, high-voltage power conversion and distribution hardware for our hybrid-electric propulsion system.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>What you’ll do</strong></p><ul><li>Design high-voltage (~800 V) DC-DC converters, inverters, rectifiers, and power modules for the aircraft powertrain.</li><li>Develop converter schematics, PCB layouts, magnetics specifications, cooling strategies, and packaging concepts.</li><li>Build and maintain system-level simulation models for power converters and distribution architecture.</li><li>Perform component sizing, switch selection, thermal analysis, and efficiency optimisation for aviation use.</li><li>Lead prototype development, including hardware bring-up, bench testing, and validation of converter performance.</li><li>Support integration of power electronics with batteries, motors, generators, and the overall hybrid-electric system.</li><li>Define HV distribution architecture: protection devices, bus segmentation, contactors, and safety logic.</li><li>Document designs, validation results, test procedures, and compliance considerations for internal reviews.</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>What we’re looking for</strong></p><ul><li>3+ years of experience in power electronics design, preferably in high-voltage or high-power systems.</li><li>Strong knowledge of converter topologies (isolated/non-isolated), inverter design, and rectifier circuits.</li><li>Proficiency with SiC/GaN devices, gate-drive design, magnetics selection, and switching optimisation.</li><li>Hands-on experience with schematic design, multilayer PCB layout, and power-stage hardware development.</li><li>Familiarity with HV safety, isolation, grounding, protection devices, and EMI/EMC considerations.</li><li>Experience using simulation tools (PLECS, LTSpice, PSIM, or Simulink) for converter modelling.</li><li>Ability to debug high-voltage hardware and evaluate performance through testing and instrumentation.</li><li>Understanding of aerospace constraints: weight optimisation, thermal limits, harsh environments.</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>Bonus:</strong> Experience in electric aircraft, UAV propulsion, automotive EV systems, or certifiable power systems.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Why LAT?</strong></p><ul><li>Core team opportunity at a high-conviction deep-tech startup</li><li>Real aircraft, real flying hardware, real impact</li><li>Build the future of sustainable aviation in India</li></ul><p><br></p>
