Lead Curriculum Developer - Online Courses
Our client is seeking an experienced and innovative Lead Curriculum Developer to spearhead the creation of high-quality online educational content. Responsibilities:
Lead the end-to-end design and development of online courses, from conceptualization to final delivery. Collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs) to translate complex topics into clear, concise, and engaging learning materials. Develop learning objectives, instructional strategies, assessments, and interactive content. Utilize learning management systems (LMS) and authoring tools (e.g., Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate) to build online courses. Ensure all curriculum materials are aligned with educational standards and quality benchmarks. Provide guidance, feedback, and project management to a team of instructional designers and SMEs. Conduct needs assessments and research to identify gaps and opportunities for new course development. Evaluate the effectiveness of existing courses and implement improvements based on learner feedback and performance data. Manage project timelines, resources, and budgets for curriculum development initiatives. Stay current with emerging trends and technologies in online education and instructional design. Foster a collaborative and innovative environment for the curriculum development team. Ensure accessibility standards are met for all course materials.
Qualifications:
Master's degree in Education, Instructional Design, Curriculum Development, or a related field. Minimum of 7 years of experience in curriculum development and instructional design, with a proven track record of leading successful projects. Extensive experience designing and developing online courses for diverse audiences. Proficiency in various authoring tools and learning management systems (LMS). Strong understanding of adult learning principles, pedagogical theories, and instructional design models (e.g., ADDIE, SAM). Excellent project management, organizational, and time management skills. Exceptional communication, writing, and interpersonal skills. Ability to effectively collaborate with and guide diverse teams in a remote setting. Experience in quality assurance and assessment design. A keen eye for detail and a commitment to producing high-quality educational content. Experience in e-learning technologies and multimedia integration is essential.
