As a Lead Scientist, you will mentor junior researchers, guide research directions, and contribute to the strategic vision of the AI research department. Conducting pioneering research in NLP, including but not limited to: language modeling, sentiment analysis, machine translation, question answering, text summarization, and dialogue systems. Developing and implementing novel deep learning architectures and algorithms for NLP tasks. Designing and executing rigorous experiments to validate research hypotheses and measure model performance. Publishing research findings in top-tier AI conferences and journals. Contributing to patent applications for novel AI technologies. Collaborating with software engineers to translate research into deployable AI features and products. Mentoring and guiding junior researchers, fostering a culture of innovation and technical excellence. Staying current with the latest research trends and developments in NLP and machine learning. Presenting research findings internally and externally to technical and non-technical audiences. Proactively identifying new research opportunities and potential application areas for NLP. Qualifications:
Ph.D. in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, or a closely related field with a strong focus on NLP. Demonstrated track record of impactful research, evidenced by publications in leading AI conferences (e.g., NeurIPS, ICML, ACL, EMNLP). Expertise in deep learning frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch) and programming languages (Python). Deep understanding of various NLP techniques, algorithms, and state-of-the-art models (e.g., BERT, GPT, Transformers). Experience with large-scale data processing and distributed computing environments. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex ideas effectively. Proven ability to lead research projects and mentor junior team members. Experience working in a remote, collaborative setting is highly desirable.
