Embroidery Designer- Freelancer
As an Embroidery Designer (Freelancer) in the garment manufacturing exports industry, your role will involve creating high-quality embroidery designs for kidswear, womenswear, and menswear based on buyer requirements, trend references, and brand aesthetics. Initially working on a freelance basis, your performance will determine the opportunity for a full-time role after 23 months. Key Responsibilities: - Create embroidery artwork, motifs, and design layouts as per buyer specifications. - Develop stitch types, thread combinations, and colorways suitable for different fabrics and garment styles. - Prepare embroidery files compatible with machine formats like .DST, .EMB. - Collaborate with merchandising and sampling teams to ensure accurate design execution. - Modify, update, and refine designs based on feedback from internal or external sources. - Ensure timely delivery of designs according to project timelines. - Maintain design quality standards and consistency across all styles. - Work closely with sampling/production teams for design placements and corrections. - Keep abreast of trends and innovate new embroidery concepts for upcoming collections. Skills & Experience Required: - Proven experience as an Embroidery Designer, preferably in garment manufacturing exports. - Strong knowledge of embroidery software such as Wilcom, Embrilliance, or equivalent. - Ability to interpret design briefs and translate them into high-quality embroidery artworks. - Strong understanding of stitches, thread types, fabric behavior, and embroidery machine requirements. - Creative mindset with attention to detail and accuracy. - Ability to meet deadlines and work independently. Qualifications: - Diploma/Degree in Fashion Design, Textile Design, or a relevant field is preferred. - Minimum 5-8 years of experience in embroidery designing. In your engagement as a Freelance Embroidery Designer for the first 23 months, you will work on project-based or monthly assignments.
