Electrician (Maintenance)

Role Overview: As an Electrician (Maintenance) at Epothane Civelec Engineers Pvt. Ltd., you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems and equipment in a manufacturing environment. Your role will involve ensuring that electrical systems are operating safely and efficiently to minimize downtime and support overall productivity. Key Responsibilities: - Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on electrical systems, including motors, transformers, circuit breakers, and wiring. - Diagnose and repair electrical faults in machinery and equipment to minimize production downtime. - Troubleshoot electrical malfunctions and perform corrective actions promptly. - Install new electrical systems and equipment, including wiring, control panels, and fixtures as required. - Assist in upgrading existing electrical systems to meet updated standards and improve energy efficiency. - Ensure compliance with local, state, and national electrical codes and safety regulations. - Maintain accurate records of electrical maintenance activities, repairs, and upgrades. - Provide technical support and training to junior electricians or apprentices when necessary. - Collaborate with maintenance personnel, engineers, and production staff for seamless operations. Qualifications: - Education: High school diploma or equivalent required. Completion of an electrical apprenticeship or a technical school program in electrical maintenance is preferred. - Experience: 3+ years of experience as an electrician, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting. - Licenses/Certifications: A valid electricians license is required. Certification in industrial maintenance or similar is a plus. - Skills: Strong knowledge of electrical systems, blueprints, and schematics. Proficient in troubleshooting and repairing electrical components. Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and automation systems is a plus. Ability to work independently and in a team environment. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Physical Requirements: - Ability to lift up to 50 pounds. - Comfortable working in confined spaces, heights, and around machinery. - Ability to stand, walk, and climb for extended periods. Work Environment: - Manufacturing plant setting with exposure to loud noises, dust, and machinery. - May require working on weekends, holidays, or during off-hours in case of emergencies.
