We collaborate with our clients to develop leading global HR strategies and support organizations in achieving excellence through implementing solutions that transform how they organize, develop capabilities, deploy leading technology, and deliver a leading employee experience.<br><br>Keeping the employee in mind, all our services cater to improving an organization’s productivity through their human capital asset. The client issues we work with range from the need for a comprehensive HR strategy to determining the need for new and enabling technologies, to streamlining HR operations and transforming the way HR is delivered.<br><br>Payroll and Workforce Management<br><br>The Payroll and Workforce Management team is a market offering within the team HR Strategy & Technology that provides services for companies to assess and enhance their Payroll and Workforce Management operations. The offering is divided into sub-offerings: Advisory, Kronos and Infor specializing and operating in assessing, advising, designing, building, operationalizing and helping clients implement and streamline payroll and workforce management solutions.<br><br>Advisory Offering: Overview<br><br>The Advisory offering is centered towards providing professional services to clients in :<br><br>in Payroll and WFM space<br><br>Global Strategy & Roadmap formulation<br><br>Operating Model & Organizational Design<br><br>Vendor Selection<br><br>Shared Services Design and Setup<br><br>Compliance Review & Assessments for Payroll and WFM<br><br>Policy & Process Optimization in Payroll and WFM space<br><br>Labor Cost Optimization<br><br>Mergers and Acquisition in Payroll and WFM space<br><br>Project Management<br><br>Work You’ll Do – Payroll Project Manager<br><br>Lead Project Planning and Execution: Oversee the end-to-end planning, execution, and delivery of payroll projects, ensuring alignment with client objectives, timelines, and quality standards.<br><br>Stakeholder Coordination: Serve as the primary point of contact between client teams, internal resources, and third-party vendors, facilitating effective communication and collaboration throughout the project lifecycle.<br><br>Requirements Management: Organize and lead requirement gathering sessions, collaborating with client subject matter experts to define business needs and translate them into actionable project deliverables.<br><br>Solution Design Oversight: Guide the design and documentation of future-state payroll processes, ensuring solutions are scalable, compliant, and tailored to client requirements (global and local).<br><br>Vendor & Technology Management: Oversee the evaluation, selection, and implementation of payroll and workforce management systems, coordinating with vendors and IT teams to ensure successful system integration.<br><br>Project Monitoring & Reporting: Track project progress against milestones, manage project plans, and proactively identify and address risks, issues, dependencies, and scope changes. Provide regular status updates to stakeholders and leadership.<br><br>Testing & Quality Assurance: Lead and coordinate testing activities, including parallel testing, test case development, data validation, and defect resolution, to ensure system accuracy and compliance.<br><br>Issue Resolution & Troubleshooting: Monitor project activities and system transactions, promptly addressing and resolving issues to minimize disruption and ensure project success.<br><br>Deployment & Change Management: Manage deployment activities, including go-live planning, hyper care, and post-implementation support. Oversee change management efforts to drive user adoption and process alignment.<br><br>Compliance & Best Practices: Ensure all project deliverables meet regulatory, legal, and organizational compliance standards. Promote best practices in payroll operations and project management.<br><br>Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process optimization and automation within payroll operations, recommending and implementing enhancements as appropriate.<br><br>Client Success & Accountability: Demonstrate ownership and accountability for project outcomes, ensuring client satisfaction and the achievement of business goals.<br><br><strong>Additional Responsibilities<br><br></strong>Collaborate with project teams and client stakeholders in a virtual environment to support project delivery<br><br>Work independently, with minimal supervision to ensure the timely delivery of all project deliverables<br><br>Gather information through research and conduct analysis to derive insights and develop client recommendations<br><br>Act as liaison and subject matter expert with internal client organizations and peer technology partners on payroll and workforce applications<br><br>Keep abreast with latest Payroll & WFM trends, global standards and industry best practices and benchmarks<br><br>Coordinate communications and training as per requirement<br><br>Assist in creation of content for RFP/RFI in the Payroll and HR Transformation space<br><br>Contribute to practice building and other internal practice initiatives<br><br>Skill Requirement<br><br>Educational Requirements:<br><br>o<br><br>Bachelor’s Degree<br><br>o<br><br>Master’s in human resource management is an added advantage<br><br>Experience & Knowledge<br><br><ul><li> Proven experience in leading payroll and workforce management projects, including system implementations, upgrades, or migrations<br><br></li></ul>Strong understanding of payroll and workforce management solutions such as SAP, SuccessFactors, Workday, Oracle Fusion, Peoplesoft, Lawson, Infor, Ultimate Software, Kronos<br><br>Experience with third-party payroll services (e.g., ADP GlobalView, Ceridian Dayforce) is highly desirable<br><br>Demonstrated expertise in project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall) and tools (e.g., MS Project, JIRA, Asana)<br><br>Experience with vendor selection, technology advisory, and system integration for payroll solutions<br><br>Familiarity with compliance review & assessments, policy & process optimization, and parallel testing/reconciliation<br><br>Background in HR operations, HR consulting, or HR transformation projects is preferred<br><br>Experience in shared services environments, mergers and acquisitions, or operating model design is an advantage<br><br>Certifications<br><br>Project Management Professional (PMP), PRINCE2, or equivalent certification preferred<br><br>Payroll or Workforce Management certification (e.g., CPP, FPC) is an added advantage<br><br>Technical & Analytical Skills<br><br>Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex payroll issues<br><br>Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio); experience with project management software/tools<br><br>Communication & Interpersonal Skills<br><br>Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information to diverse audiences<br><br>Strong interpersonal skills; able to work effectively in teams and collaborate across all organizational levels<br><br>Demonstrated ability to manage stakeholders, facilitate workshops, and drive consensus<br><br>Personal Attributes<br><br>Ability to manage multiple priorities, work under pressure, and adapt to changing project requirements<br><br>High attention to detail, organizational skills, and accountability for project deliverables<br><br>Comfortable dealing with ambiguity and driving clarity in complex project<br><br>Location: Hyderabad/ Bengaluru/ Gurgaon/ Mumbai/ Kolkata/ Chennai / Pune<br><br>#HC-LH-FY26<br><br><strong>Our purpose<br><br></strong>Deloitte’s purpose is to make an impact that matters for our people, clients, and communities.
