Description Role Overview We are looking for an experienced Product Design (UI/UX) professional to lead the design function at Bombay DC. This role involves end-to-end ownership of product designcombining strategy, creativity, and usability to build engaging digital experiences. You will drive design excellence across digital touchpoints such as mobile apps, websites, and eCommerce platforms while mentoring a growing team of designers. You are expected to bring deep user empathy, strong aesthetic judgment, and the ability to translate complex user problems into elegant, human-centered design solutions. Key Responsibilities Design Leadership & Strategy : <ul><li> Lead and evolve the product design vision and roadmap in alignment with business and client goals.</li><li> Define, document, and enforce design standards, systems, and processes for consistency and scalability.</li><li> Oversee all phases of product designfrom research, ideation, and prototyping to final execution.</li><li> Drive UX strategy and champion design thinking principles across the organization.</li><li> Collaborate closely with Product Managers, Developers, UX Writers, and Researchers to ensure end-to-end design integration. </li></ul>Product Design & Execution <ul><li> Conduct and interpret user research, persona creation, and user journey mapping to inform design decisions.</li><li> Create wireframes, user flows, interaction models, and high-fidelity UI mockups using modern design tools (Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD).</li><li> Develop prototypes for usability testing and stakeholder feedback.</li><li> Design intuitive interfaces optimized for performance, accessibility, and engagement.</li><li> Balance functional design with aesthetic detail to deliver seamless digital experiences across web and mobile platforms.</li><li> Oversee re-design initiatives and continuously refine experiences based on analytics, feedback, and evolving business goals. </li></ul>Mentorship & Collaboration <ul><li> Mentor and guide designers in UI/UX best practices, usability, and interaction design.</li><li> Provide constructive feedback and conduct regular design critiques to ensure creative excellence.</li><li> Work collaboratively with developers to achieve pixel-perfect UI implementation and animation precision.</li><li> Encourage experimentation, innovation, and new design methodologies within the team. </li></ul>UX Research & Testing <ul><li> Conduct usability testing sessions, A/B tests, and behavioral analysis to validate design hypotheses.</li><li> Translate research findings into actionable design enhancements.</li><li> Leverage tools like Hotjar, Maze, or Google Optimize to analyze and iterate user experience Integration:</li><li> Partner with brand strategists and business stakeholders to ensure brand alignment and business impact.</li><li> Support pre-sales and marketing teams with design inputs for proposals and campaigns.</li><li> Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure smooth design handoff and agile development workflows. </li></ul>Required Skills & Experience Experience : 510 years of hands-on product design experience in UI/UX, preferably within digital agencies or product startups. Design Tools : Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, Illustrator, Photoshop, InVision, Miro. Prototyping & Testing : Experience with interactive prototyping tools and usability testing frameworks. UX Research : Strong understanding of UX heuristics, information architecture, and behavioral design. UI Craftsmanship : Mastery in visual hierarchy, color theory, typography, and responsive design principles. Design Systems : Ability to create and manage scalable design systems and component libraries. Front-End Collaboration : Familiarity with HTML, CSS, and front-end frameworks for effective developer collaboration.
